The Heart Behind Kayla Cares: A Warm Welcome

Hi there, and welcome to the Kayla Cares blog!

Starting Kayla Cares LLC wasn’t just a career move — it was a calling. Since I was young, I’ve always had a heart for helping others. Whether it was volunteering at the senior center in my hometown or assisting in special education classrooms, I knew that caregiving was more than just a job for me — it was a purpose.

In 2022, I began working with adults with disabilities, and that experience deeply shaped the kind of caregiver I strive to be — patient, present, and respectful of each person’s unique needs. It was during that time that I realized how meaningful in-home care could truly be.

From there, I transitioned into a role at a rehabilitation hospital, where I had the opportunity to support patients recovering from surgeries, strokes, and injuries. While I learned a great deal and was honored to be part of their recovery journeys, I also came to understand how larger systems and workplace politics can sometimes get in the way of truly personal, compassionate care. That realization led me to take a leap of faith — and Kayla Cares LLC was born.

This blog is an extension of that vision. Here, I’ll be sharing caregiving stories, helpful insights, and even some of my favorite client-friendly recipes. My hope is that this space becomes a warm, welcoming resource for families and individuals navigating care.

Thank you for being here — truly. Whether you’re a family member looking for guidance, a fellow caregiver, or someone just exploring what compassionate care can look like, I’m so glad you’ve found your way to Kayla Cares. This journey has been shaped by so many meaningful moments, and it’s an honor to now walk alongside others through theirs.

My hope is that through this blog and the care I provide, you feel not just supported, but seen. Welcome to the Kayla Cares family.

With all my heart,
Kayla
