The Story Behind the Name: “Kayla Cares”
When I decided to start my own in-home caregiving business, I knew I didn’t want to just pick any name. It needed to mean something. It needed to speak to the heart of why I do this work. And it turns out, the name was already given to me long before I even realized it.
Back when I was working at a previous job caring for disabled adults, I had the honor of supporting many amazing individuals. But there was one client in particular who left a lasting impression—not just on my heart, but on the direction of my future.
He would often go out of his way to come to me, even if other staff members were closer or available. One day, a coworker asked him why he always came to me first. And without skipping a beat, he said:
“Because Kayla cares.”
It became something he’d say often, like a quiet truth that everyone began to notice.
“Why do you care so much?”
“Kayla cares.”
Those two simple words stuck with me.
They weren’t just a passing compliment—they were a reflection of how I showed up every day. Not just as a caregiver, or even as a person, but as a friend. I didn’t just complete tasks; I built trust. I listened with intention. I cared with my whole heart. I became a steady presence in someone’s life—someone they could count on, someone who felt like family.
When it came time to name my business, I couldn’t let that memory go. Because “Kayla Cares” wasn’t something I came up with on my own. It was given to me. Spoken by someone I helped, someone who felt that care in a real way.
So that’s where Kayla Cares LLC comes from.
It’s not just a business name—it’s a reflection of who I am, how I work, and what my clients can expect. Personalized care. Deep compassion. Real connection. Whether I’m helping someone recover after a stroke, supporting someone on the autism spectrum, or simply being there through the day-to-day, I lead with one constant truth:
Kayla cares.
Always has. Always will.
