What Kayla Cares Has Given Me

When I started Kayla Cares, I thought I was building a business.

And while that's true, it has become so much more than that.

Over the last year, Kayla Cares has given me opportunities I never imagined. It has allowed me to build relationships with incredible clients and families who have trusted me during some of the most important and vulnerable moments of their lives. It has challenged me, humbled me, and pushed me to grow in ways I never expected.

Kayla Cares has given me confidence. It has shown me that I was capable of more than I thought. It has taught me how to navigate difficult situations, solve problems, advocate for others, and trust my own judgment.

It has also helped me grow as a person.

Communication was never one of my strongest skills. I often struggled to say what I was thinking or express myself the way I wanted to. Through building this business and working closely with clients and families, I've become a better communicator. I've learned how important honesty, transparency, and simply listening can be.

One unexpected gift has been this blog.

I've always loved writing. Long before Kayla Cares existed, writing was one of the ways I processed life and organized my thoughts. This blog has given me a place to share stories, lessons, and experiences from caregiving. It has allowed me to connect with people in a way I never expected, and it's become one of my favorite parts of running this business.

Kayla Cares has also given me perspective.

When you spend your days with people who have lived long, full lives, you learn what truly matters. I've learned that time is precious. That family matters. That the little moments are often the most important ones. And that a good laugh can make even the hardest day a little lighter.

Starting a business hasn't always been easy. There have been long days, difficult decisions, and moments where I questioned myself. But there have also been victories, connections, and memories that I wouldn't trade for anything.

Most importantly, Kayla Cares has given me purpose.

Not because of the business itself, but because of the people behind it. The clients, families, and community members who have welcomed me into their lives and allowed me to do the work I love.

For that, I will always be grateful.
